Somewhere Along the Way
The city was still awake.
Cars passed beneath the streetlights, their reflections stretching across the wet pavement. In the distance, a thousand colors illuminated the night, as if the city had created a world of its own.
For a moment, I stopped to watch.
Everyone was going somewhere. So was I.
But for that brief moment, there was nowhere else I needed to be.
